Our sailing experience days are the perfect gift for someone thinking about taking an RYA training course in the future, or for anyone wanting to try something a bit different!
We are lucky to have the Solent on our doorstep with plenty of places to stop off and visit. Cowes, Lymington, Beaulieu River, Yarmouth, Newtown Creek, Portsmouth, Southampton, Ocean Village and The Needles to name a few!
We can provide you with lunch on board or you can go ashore to one of the many fabulous restaurants on the south coast and the Isle of Wight.
As we tailor-make the day for you and your needs, all of the suggestions below can involve as little or as much sailing participation as you want. From sitting back and relaxing with a glass of champagne, to working as a team to get the boat going as fast as possible.
Enjoy a morning of sailing as we head over to Cowes on the Isle of Wight. Once moored up, it’s a short stroll to Coast in the Heart of Cowes. They pride themselves on their locally sourced seasonal food and a relaxed, welcoming environment. When you’re ready, it’s back on board Sidney II and we sail back to the Port Hamble.
Visit Coast's websiteOsborne Bay is a beautiful place to stop, drop the anchor and enjoy lunch aboard on a sunny day. The bay belongs to Osborne House estate, that was bought by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert in 1845 and became a popular retreat for them. It is a sheltered stop to cool off on a hot summer's day, and hopefully, the local ice cream boat is around to deliver ice creams straight to us!

Learn more about the NeedlesWith panoramic views over the marina, this is the ultimate waterside spot for fine dining. After leaving Port Hamble Marina, we would head out into the Solent for a good sail, then head up Southampton water to Ocean Village Marina and moor up right outside The Jetty restaurant. This restaurant offers a great selection of locally caught seafood and other dishes, including vegetarian and vegan options. From personal experience, The Jetty really has outstanding service.
